Day 1 Douala to São Tomé

Upon arrival at Douala International Airport, a representative of Africa’s Eden will meet

you and take you to the VIP lounge to wait for your connecting Africa’s Eden private charter flight to São Tomé airport, where the Omali Lodge staff will be waiting to meet you. Before dinner time, you will have some time to settle into your room, to take a swim in the pool or to enjoy a drink at the pool side bar. (You can also fly directly from Lisbon (Portugal), or fly from Libreville (Gabon).

Accommodation: Omali Lodge is a luxuriously designed eco- lodge, set on a white sandy beach close to the cultural melting pot of São Tomé town. Omali, meaning ‘ocean’ and ‘source of life’, is an ideal place to explore the natural and cultural wonders available on the island. The lodge has 30 luxury suites, making it the perfect place to unwind amongst spectacular nature.

 

Day 2 - 4 Monday - Wednesday São Tomé'Leve leve' (easy-easy) as the locals say: São Tomé is the place to relax and to take it easy.

But taking it easy doesnt mean there is nothing to do. On the contrary. A stay at Sao Tome offers many possible activities, such as a visit to see the strange volcanic crater deep in the forest of Ôbo National Park. Some other possibilities are a São Tomé City, a tour it to Bom Sucesso Botanical Garden, Day Trip by Car – East Coast São Tomé, Hiking along the Tunnels of the Rio Contador, Bird-watching Expeditions, Sea Turtle Night Patro or buy the best chocolate in the world at the chocolate plantations. All excursions can be organised by the hotel.

 

Day 5 - 7 Thursday- Saturday Príncipe

On Thursday , the Africa’s Eden private charter plane will fly you Príncipe, where the Bom Bom

staff will be waiting to meet you. Bom Bom Island Resort is only a short drive from the airport. The tropical island of Príncipe is a virtually undiscovered paradise. It’s a place where dense rainforests teem with exotic birds, where whales sport playfully off unspoiled, deserted beaches, where crystal-clear waterfalls cascade into the azure blue ocean, and where the people are, above all, friendly and happy to meet you. In short, Príncipe is a sensational place to relax, dive, fish or turn adventurous. There is plenty there to explore and discover such as hiking, kayaking and Whale Watching (from mid- July to mid- September)

Accommodation: Bom Bom Island Resort The resort offers accommodation in 25 bungalows. All rooms are comfortably furnished with a lounge suite, table and chairs, mini-bar and satellite TV, hair dryer, telephone, air conditioning and a built-in cupboard including a safe. Rooms have an en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.

 

Day 8 Sunday - Afternoon flight to Douala, Cameroon

In the morning you can enjoy a final stroll on the beach and recollect your experiences of this week. In the late afternoon you will be brought to the airport for your return flight to Douala, Cameroon, from where you will connect to your international flight.
